Our Night City Tour takes you first to the Coconut Grove area and then to the hot and famous South Beach. You can spend time in both for dinner, dancing or simply people watching.
Coconut Grove (The Grove) is known as Miami's Food Court, for its many and varied restaurants and open air cafes. Some local favorites include Greenstreets, Tuscany and Mr. Moes, and there are plenty of chain franchises as well, such as SeƱor Frogs, The Cheesecake Factory and Johnny Rockets. Shopping is also abundant in the Grove, with two large open-air malls, CocoWalk and Streets of Mayfair. By night, the Grove becomes a center of nightlife frequented by young professionals and students from the University of Miami.
The South Beach section of Miami Beach nowadays is a major entertainment destination with hundreds of nightclubs, restaurants and ocean-front hotels. Some people say that being in Miami and not visiting South Beach at night is like not being at all. South Beach has a very active club/bar scene. It is host to over 150 clubs and other destinations, most of which close early in the morning. Ocean Drive is responsible for the South Beach aesthetic that most out of town visitors expect to see. It is home to several prominent restaurants like "News Cafe," "Mango's," "Clevelander" and is the site of Gianni Versace's former mansion. Washington Avenue is the best-known street in South Beach. It is notorious for having some of the world's largest and most popular nightclubs, such as Crobar and Mansion. During "season" the street is jammed with traffic until early in the morning (as late as 6 am) every night of the week.
